K-9 Arty joins Southern Shores Police Department – OBX Today

The Town of Southern Shores have proudly announced that K-9 Arty, a Dutch Shepard, began work last week. Police Officer Thomas Long will be Arty’s handler. Officer Long and Arty recently completed a six-week certification program and were voted by their peers as the best Tracking & Detection K9 Team out of 19 teams in total.
