The Town of Duck is pleased to announce Chuck Burdick as the 2023 Fourth of July parade and community celebration Grand Marshal, scheduled for Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
Chuck first visited Duck in 1970 at the invitation of friends. After owning a vacation home in Duck since 1973, he relocated to Duck permanently in 2001. His fondest memories of his time in Duck include the celebration of milestone birthdays and visits from friends and family.
Chuck has been managing the Duck Post Office for over twenty years. He served ten years (2009-2019) on the Duck Town Council. During that time, he served six years as the Council representative for the Planning Board and two years as the Duck representative to the Dare Tourism Board.
Chuck is honored to be selected as this year’s Grand Marshal for the 4th of July Parade and Community Celebration. He has enjoyed maintaining the Duck Post Office to the benefit of residents and visitors alike and looks forward to continuing this service to the community.
