Currituck man charged with armed robberies in Camden, Elizabeth City

A Currituck County man has been arrested in connection with a pair of recent armed robberies.

Josuha Lynn Thornton, 33, was arrested for allegedly using a knife during a hold-up at Lamb’s Marina and Market on U.S. 158 on Monday around 11:30 a.m., according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.

He was caught later that evening by Currituck County Sherriff’s Office deputies and was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon for the Lamb’s robbery, and for armed robbery of Hardee’s in Elizabeth City.

Thorton, who is also a suspect in several other alleged crimes in Chesapeake, was being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.
