North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and other state officials will provide a COVID-19 update from the Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh at 4 p.m.

The state passed the 2,000 death threshold on Tuesday from COVID-19, while total positive tests since mid-March topped 128,000.

Dare County will host another coronavirus testing site at the Dare Youth Center in Kill Devil Hills on Tuesday, August 11, starting at 1 p.m.

The drive-thru testing opportunity in Ocracoke has been rescheduled for August 12. Appointments are required for both events.
