The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office has established a checkpoint at the county line, between Duck and Corolla.
The main objective of this checkpoint is to monitor the flow of traffic in and out of Corolla as the county continues to assess local conditions during the COVID -19 pandemic, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.
No documentation is required at this checkpoint for motorists entering Corolla. Anyone who has been approved through the main checkpoint at the Wright Memorial Bridge can travel between Dare County and Currituck County on the Outer Banks.
But please obey all directions from the Sheriff’s Office at both checkpoint locations.
