A Hatteras Island man faces seven drug-related counts, including a pair of felonies, after his arrest last week in Buxton.
According to a press release, members of the Dare County Sheriff’s Office C-District encountered a man who was in the parking lot of a tackle shop in Buxton on Tuesday, March 10, at 11:40 p.m.
Deputies said they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the man, and upon further investigation found numerous drugs in his possession.
Aaron Robert Silver, 20, of Buxton has been charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute methamphetamine and felony possession of amphetamine.
Silver was also charged five misdemeanors: possession of a schedule III drug, possession of a schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was released from the Dare County Detention Center after posting a $16,000 secured bond.
