Kitty Hawk police bust Elizabeth City man with four dozen doses of LSD

An Elizabeth City man has been charged after he was allegedly caught over the weekend by Kitty Hawk police in possession of four dozen doses of LSD.

According to news release from Kitty Hawk Police Department Chief Joel Johnson, officers conducted a traffic stop on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. of Joshua Ansink, 31.

Ansink was found in possession of forty eight dosage units of LSD, and was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, Johnson said.

He was being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond.

Ansink also has charges pending in Camden County of driving while impaired and reckless driving stemming from an incident on August 25.
