At its December meeting, the Board of Commissioners expressed its appreciation to Ben Sproul, outgoing KDH Mayor, for his years of dedicated service to our Town.
During his tenure as Mayor, the Town of Kill Devil Hills experienced numerous improvements and changes, some of which included the redevelopment of Meekins Field Park and the opening of its Splash Pad, the expansion of the Town’s sidewalks and multi-use paths, a successful beach renourishment program, completion of the Town’s communications monopole and newest water tower, and the development of a joint Fire/EMS station in partnership with Dare County.
