In observance of Good Friday, all Dare County offices will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022.
In addition, the Dare County Public Works Department—which provides trash collection for the unincorporated areas of Dare County as well as the Town of Kitty Hawk*—has announced a revised trash collection schedule for the week of April 11, 2022, through April 15, 2022.
The Dare County C&D Landfill, Buxton Transfer Station and Manteo Recycle Yard will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022, in observance of the Good Friday holiday.
The trash collection schedule for the week of April 11, 2022, through April 15, 2022, will be as follows:
- Monday, April 11, 2022 – Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
- Tuesday, April 12, 2022 – Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
- Wednesday, April 13, 2022 – Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
- Thursday, April 14, 2022 – Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
- Friday, April 15, 2022 – CLOSED for Good Friday. No trash collection.
Commercial dumpsters will be picked up on Monday, April 11, 2022, and Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Dare County offices will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022.
