At approximately 08:00 pm on December 11, 2024, a Dare County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on Hwy 158 in Kitty Hawk.
During the stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle, which led to the discovery and seizure of an amount of marijuana.
Brandy D. Charity, F/48, of Barco, NC, was arrested at the scene. Charity has been charged with (F) Possession of Marijuana, (F) PWISD Marijuana, (F) Maintaining a Vehicle, and (F) Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid.
Charity was issued a $20,000 secured bond related to these charges.
