The Outer Banks Woman’s Club (OBWC) is proud to announce their continued partnership with the Dare County Department of Social Services for the 37th annual Angel Gift Program. This program ensures that local children in need receive gifts and essential items during the holiday season.
“For 37 years, the OBWC has been a beacon of hope for families in Dare County,” said Angel Gift Chairperson Susan Luse. “We witness the joy and gratitude of families each year, and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible generosity of our community.”
“We recognize that many families are just one crisis away from needing help, so our hope is that the Angel Gift Program can assist families who cannot provide Christmas this year due to an unexpected crisis, whatever that may be,” said Dare County DHHS Family Services Supervisor Leigh Brinkley.

How you can be part of this year’s Angel Gift Program:
- Monetary Donation: Checks payable to the Outer Banks Woman’s Club can be mailed to: OBWC, Post Office Box 102, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 by Dec. 2.
- Online Donation: Pay securely by credit card or PayPal using the Donate button on our website at www.gfwc-obwc.com;
- Take an Angel from one of our Angel Trees: Visit participating locations in November to select a child’s request from an Angel Tree display.
- Duck: Duck Town Hall
- Kitty Hawk: OBX Chevrolet; Walmart; Wave Riding Vehicles (WRV)
- Kill Devil Hills: Outer Banks Presbyterian Church; Publix

- Adopt A Child (Or Children): Fulfill a child’s wish list by emailing obwcagp@gmail.com or calling 252-284-4040 to provide your name, address and contact information. We will connect you with the wish list in early November.
Over the past five decades, the OBWC has been a driving force for good in the community. From providing toys and clothes to children in need through the Angel Gift Program to supporting local organizations like the Beach Food Pantry and the Outer Banks Hotline Crisis Intervention and Prevention Center, the club’s members tirelessly serve the community.
