The Dare County Department of Health & Human Services (DCDHHS) would like to recognize two long-serving members of its Board of Health & Human Services for their hard work and contributions during their tenure.
Dr. Mark Grossman has been serving on the board since March of 2016 and frequently served on the Potentially Dangerous Dog Committee. Alexis Hodges, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNE has been on the board since September of 2013, when DCDHHS became a consolidated agency and the Social Services Board and Board of Public Health were merged.
“I would like to thank both Mark and Alexis for their many years of service and dedication to our mission of protecting the health of Dare County residents as well as helping and strengthening families and individuals to achieve self-sufficiency,” said DCDHHS Director Dr. Sheila Davies. “Their guidance and commitment have been invaluable.”
The Dare County Board of Health & Human Services is composed of members selected by the Dare County Board of Commissioners. Responsible for policymaking and rulemaking in accordance with the North Carolina General Statute Laws, the board meets at least quarterly throughout the year.
