On September 19, 2024, the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Dare County Drug Task Force conducted a drug interdiction operation that resulted in the arrest of 5 individuals in the Harbinger area. Those charged include:
Brittany Strawhand: Trafficking Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale of Controlled substances; $250,000 bond
Kailey Nagle: PWISD Fentanyl; $50,000 bond
Amanda Surles: 4 counts of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Conspiracy, and Maintaining a vehicle for sale of controlled substances; $250,000 bond
Elton Hays III: Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine; $50,000 bond
Steven Miles: Trafficking Methamphetamine; Maintaining a vehicle for trafficking Methamphetamine; $50,000 bond
