The Dare County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in a breaking and entering case that took place on August 8, 2024, between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. During this time, two unidentified individuals unlawfully entered a storage unit at Dare Storage, located off NC Hwy 345 in Skyco.
The suspects, who had no authorization to access the storage unit, removed several high-value items, estimated at approximately $10,000. The stolen items include a box of life jackets, various lights, an ACR Personal Locator Beacon, an EPIRB Location Device, two Talica 25 rods, two Talica 50 rods, GoPro 10 cameras with headsets, and cleaning supplies.
The Dare County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating this incident and is urging anyone with information about the suspects or the stolen items to come forward.
