Annual Trash Attack! community clean-up event returns to Kill Devil Hills on March 23; Poster contest announced for K-12 students – OBX Today

Save the Date for Trash Attack!: You can help make KDH a cleaner and brighter place by joining your neighbors on Saturday, March 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., to pick up litter around our Town.

Trash Attack! is a community clean-up event, where volunteers head out across Town to “attack” the trash: beach, soundside, or anywhere in between. The event will kick-off at Aviation Park where participants will receive gloves, grabbers, and trash bags.

Don’t forget about the poster contest!
Calling all K-12 First Flight students or home-schooled students: We need you to use your artistic talent to design this year’s Trash Attack! poster!

The poster should focus on the Trash Attack! event and keeping our community clean of litter. The contest is for K-12 (First Flight Students or KDH Residents).

Posters should be on white 22″x 28″ poster board, landscape format. On the back include name, age, grade, school, and parent / guardian’s phone number and email.

Prizes will be awarded for chosen posters!
Submit poster to the Administration Department, KDH Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Poster Submission Deadline: March 1, 2024, 4 p.m.
