Survey requests for upcoming State of the Child conference – OBX Today

What do the children, youth and families of Dare County need the most? Are there innovative programs, services or changes that could help them thrive?

To answer these questions and come up with lasting solutions to local needs, Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County (CYP) and community volunteers are currently planning the sixth State of the Child Conference for Dare County. The goal is to bring greater awareness about issues related to Dare County’s youth, including child care, early learning, child well-being, and enrichment/recreation.

On March 14, 2024, the conference will bring community leaders together to discuss and explore opportunities and long-term solutions to the areas of greatest need. Past State of the Child Conferences have led to the addition of incredible programs and resources in Dare County including the establishment of Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County, Smart Start in Dare County, Dare County Youth Center, Wright Place for Youth and more.
