A new Outer Banks tradition: The 12 Bars of Christmas – OBX Today

Have your heard of the newest Outer Banks holiday tradition? It’s The 12 Bars of Christmas, and it’s happening now through December 31!

Each holiday season, local restaurants join together to transform their spaces into “festive pop-up bars, fully decked out in holiday cheer” to bring our community and visitors together to celebrate.

Not only is The 12 Bars of Christmas a fun event, but it also encourages everyone to give back to the nonprofits that support our Outer Banks community!

This year, each pop-up Christmas bar is selling The 12 Bars of Christmas “passports” for $5. The challenge is to collect 12 stamps (one from each establishment) to receive a special “The 12 Bars of Christmas” ceramic ornament (while supplies last) and to enter an end-of-season gift card drawing for three gift card packages (valued at $300, $600, $1,200) at the start of the New Year.

We’re honored that Two Roads Tavern – now known as “McCallister’s Corner” for the holiday season (inspired by the film Home Alone) –  has chosen us as their nonprofit beneficiary of their passport sales this year!

So, if you’re in the Outer Banks or planning a visit, stop by McCallister’s Corner to have a merry time and help support our Outer Banks national parks!
