James D. Charlet, AKA “Keeper James,” accompanied by “Miz Linda,” will be autographing and personalizing copies of his international and best-selling book, Shipwrecks of the Outer Banks: Dramatic Rescues and Fantastic Wrecks in the Graveyard of the Atlantic, Globe Pequot Press. They will be only a part of the other participants at this excitement. The event is a fun, safe, family Halloween treat called “Ships & Sweets Community Halloween Event.” Keeper James will be the “Ships” part, and Miz Linda plus the Lifesavers candy they are dispensing (what else?!) will be the “Sweets” part.

Linda Molloy, AKA “Miz Linda” said, “We love doing events and being able to dress the part,”

“But the local events are our favorite,” as Keeper James continued. Being in our home area, where we learned all this, and bringing it back to ‘our people’ makes it really special.”

The event is scheduled at the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center for Sunday, October 29, starting at 5:30 p.m. “But we will be getting there around 4:00 p.m. for the Early Birds,” said Keeper James.

The Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is located at 8770 Oregon Inlet Rd, Nags Head, NC 27959 (252 441-6301). It is the last right turn before the Marc Basnight Bridge as travelling south on NC 12 from Nags Head, or the first left after the bridge coming from Hatteras Island.
