Dare County Public Works has announced that the truck scale weigh-in station at the Buxton Transfer Station, located at 47027 N.C. Highway 12 in Buxton, NC—which was temporarily closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, due to a power surge—has reopened. Dare County Public Works appreciates the public’s patience as staff worked to restore service at the station.
