But, beyond the festivities, let’s not forget the vital message behind this event. Domestic violence affects not only people but also their beloved pets. Did you know:
- 71% of women in domestic violence shelters report their abuser threatened, injured, or killed a pet.
- Nearly half of victims stay in abusive situations rather than leave their pet behind.
- Only 15% of domestic violence shelters have on-site pet programs.
Your support at the Dogs Against Domestic Violence event directly contributes to raising awareness and aiding survivors. Together, we can make a difference!
Please share this event with your friends and family. It’s an excellent opportunity to have a fantastic time while supporting a crucial cause. Remember, your presence and participation can help save lives.
We look forward to seeing you and your furry friends on October 21st. Thank you for being a part of our mission to create a safer, more compassionate world for both people and pets.
