Hook Law opens new Southern Shores office; expands service in North Carolina


Hook Law is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office location in Southern Shores, as the nationally recognized firm continues to expand into Northeast North Carolina.

Located in the Southern Shores Business Center at 8 Juniper Trail, the new office is designed to help more North Carolina residents Plan for the Good Life through the firm’s wide range of highly specialized legal services, from estate planning to special needs and long-term care planning, asset protection planning, guardianships, estate and trust administration, and beyond.

The new Southern Shores office will be led by Letha Sgritta McDowell, Hook Law shareholder and North Carolina board certified elder law attorney, ACTEC fellow, past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and Kitty Hawk resident. “We’ve proudly served clients in North Carolina for years,” said Sgritta McDowell. “The new office gives our clients here a chance to come in, meet face-to-face with our team, and work through their legal challenges and plans for the future. We’re excited to bring this kind of expertise and personalized legal service to the community.”

Based in Virginia Beach, Hook Law’s talented team of attorneys and paralegals has served clients for over 40 years, while serving leadership roles in national organizations working to improve legal services for seniors and adults with special needs.
