Take the H2OBX Waterpark Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics North Carolina


The H2OBX Waterpark Polar Plunge for SONC is a unique fundraising opportunity for people of all ages, organizations and businesses to support SONC athletes by jumping into the frigid wave pool at H2OBX Waterpark in Powells Point, North Carolina. Online registration is available now for the event taking place on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with the plunge taking place at 11:30 a.m. A full itinerary of the day’s events is as follows:

  •     10 – 11 a.m.: Registration
  •     11:15 a.m.: Opening Ceremony
  •     11:30 a.m.: Polar Plunge
  •     12:30 – 1 p.m.: Contests and Awards

Individuals can register for $50 or groups of five can register as a Polar Plunge team. To receive the 2023 Polar Plunge T-shirt, all participants must fundraise a minimum of $50. Register as a Too Chicken to Plunge participant for $25 and dip a toe. All funds raised will help to provide year-round sports training, competition, leadership opportunities and health services to Special Olympics athletes in North Carolina.
