College of The Albemarle (COA) is pleased to announce its Annual College to Career (C2C) Signing Day on March 23, 2023, at COA – Elizabeth City, Building AE, Room 208. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the signing at 6:00 p.m.
Prospective students for the 2023-2024 academic year are invited to participate in this event, signing off on their intentions to attend COA by enrolling in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Registration for this event is required. Eligible students will receive a $500 scholarship upon signing. We will offer up to $20,000 in scholarships for this event, so don’t delay; register early. The COA Foundation also offers additional scholarships for students.
Specific programs for this signing event include computer-aided drafting, machining, HVAC, information technology, CDL/truck driver, culinary, emergency medical science and nurse aid. These programs offer short-term training in high-wage and high-demand fields. Several local companies partner with COA to offer work-based learning opportunities and internships. Many also provide scholarship opportunities for students enrolled in a career and technical field of study related to their specific workforce.
This event is designed to honor students’ commitment to entering a career and technical field of study that will take them from college to career. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend the event to celebrate this significant milestone for their students.

COA will have various activities available from 4:30 p.m. until the signing at 6:00 p.m. This includes assistance with COA applications, advising, FAFSA assistance, scholarships, and meet-and-greet opportunities with program representatives. Refreshments will also be available.
