The Town of Kill Devil Hills will have a temporary road closure beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, for W. Third Street at the intersection with Upper Dune Road for utility and roadway improvements by Fred Smith Company.
Through traffic on W. Third Street at the intersection will be prohibited during this closure. Local traffic will access Upper Dune Road from the north and south using Clam Shell Drive and Indian Drive. Apache Street to the east of the closure can be used to detour from W. Third Street to Clam Shell Drive and on to Bay Drive.
W. Third Street will remain open from the west and east of the closure for access to adjacent properties throughout the closure.
The temporary road closure is scheduled to end by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.
