VIDEO: OBX Martial Arts hosts Trunk or Treat this Saturday, celebrates jujitsu state title

OBX Martial Arts Studios at the Surfside Plaza in Nags Head has lots to celebrate after claiming a state championship this past weekend, and invites everyone to their annual Trunk or Treat this Saturday.

Coach Rick Bateman from OBX Martial Arts joined us on OBX Today LIVE on Facebook and Youtube to talk more about the team’s success, upcoming events and a chance for you to win a cool Christmas present.

The Fourth Annual Trunk or Treat starts at 7 p.m. Saturday. Kids are invited to dress up and come trick or treating in a safe, family friendly environment.

Participants decorate their “trunks” in Halloween themes and then pass out candy to lots of happy kids.

OBX Martial Arts Team brought home the medals along with taking first place this past weekend at the Fuji North Carolina State Championships in jiujitsu that were held in Raleigh last weekend.

OBX Martial Arts team of athletes ranging in age from 4 to 13 won 55 medals and competed in a combined total of 123 matches.

They won six other team trophies and events including winning Best Overall and even outscored the adult teams.

|These dedicated kids worked hard for over six months and now get to show the Community how their hard work paid off and to thank the community for their support.
