An 18-year-old man from Virginia faces a felony domestic violence count for allegedly choking his girlfriend during an altercation in Rodanthe.
Dare County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Surf Side Drive around 1 a.m. Tuesday for a fight in progress.
Jonathan Thomas Blount of Hampton was held without bond after his arrest on a charge of felony domestic assault by strangulation.
Blount was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
