A 41-year-old Colington man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing Friday night.
At 9:04 p.m., deputies were called to an assault in progress in the 200 block of Sunset Drive in Colington. Kill Devil Hills police were asked to assist and arrived on scene first to find a victim who had suffered a stab wound to the neck, the Dare County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The suspect was still on scene and was placed into custody by the Dare County Sheriff’s Office. Nags Head Police Department also assisted with their K-9 to make sure the scene was secure.
The victim in the assault was taken to The Outer Banks Hospital. That person’s condition was not released Monday.
Jorge Armando Munoz, of the 200 block of Sunset Drive, Colington, arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and remained jail Monday under a $20,000 secured bond.
