Applications are now being accepted for the inaugural Chowder Banks Fest – Chowder Tasting.
The Chowder Tasting is part of the new CHOWDER BANKS FEST hosted by the Outer Banks Seafood Festival board of directors and will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Soundside Event Site in Nags Head.
The tasting will be a feature of the event to determine the Best Chowder on the beach. There is no entry fee to participate. Chowder participants agree to provide 10 gallons of their best seafood chowder for the tasting. The tasting will be at 11 a.m. with set-up needing to be completed by 10:45 a.m.
Prizes will be awarded in several categories to include 1st Place Judges Choice, 2nd Place Judges Choice and 3rd Place Judges Choice as well as 1st Place People’s Choice, 2nd Place People’s Choice and 3rd Place People’s Choice.

Spots are limited to 20 Chowder Tasting participants. Deadline for entries is April 10, 2021.
