Traditional Easter eggs hunts, family gatherings and church services are out this year thanks to the coronavirus, but many are still hosting holiday happenings, from a distance.
— Brian Mervine, owner of Vertigo Tattoo, collected donations of Easter candy and goodies for kids tomorrow, Saturday, April 11. Pick up baskets starting at 9:30 a.m. at Vertigo Tattoo at 7594 Shipyard Road in Manns Harbor and the Gift Garden at 1808 S. Croatan Highway in Kill Devil Hills. While supplies last.
— Cape Hatteras schools are hosting drive-by Easter eggs hunts all weekend through noon on Sunday.
Custodian teams at both the elementary and the secondary schools are putting out eggs for you to find! Stay in your car, and send pictures you take to the schools. The elementary eggs will be on the school campus (make sure you look at the buses!) and the secondary eggs will be around the circle drive.

— Nags Head Church will host a streamed sunrise service at Nags Head Fishing Pier on the pier’s Facebook page here. A streamed service will also be held at 9 a.m. on the Nags Head Church Facebook page, the website at nagsheadchurch.org and our Nags Head Church Youtube channel.
— Lighthouse Church will be streaming on Facebook live at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
— Corolla Chapel will be holding a virtual service at 10 a.m. Sunday, as well as drive-through communion with individually packaged elements.
