No one was hurt after a deck caught fire outside a home in Kill Devil Hills Saturday afternoon.
Crews were called to the 400 block of West Chowan Street at 12:43 p.m. after a report of smoke in the neighborhood.
The fire was contained to the side of the structure on the first floor door deck and siding.
Members of the Colington and Kitty Hawk fire departments, Kill Devil Hills police and Dare County EMS also worked the scene.
The Kill Devil Hills Fire Marshal is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
