Officials: No cases of coronovirus have been diagnosed on the Outer Banks

Despite rumors circulating over the last 24 hours about possible cases on the Outer Banks, officials said no one has been diagnosed with COVID-19 coronavirus in Dare County as of Thursday night.

The county’s official Twitter account, @DareCountyGovt, reiterated that any information about the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic or possible cases of the virus being found would be shared through official sources.

There have also been no cases of the virus diagnosed in northeastern North Carolina as of Thursday night. At least 15 patients have been identified in North Carolina, mostly in the central part of the state.
